Return & Exchange Policy
We want you to have the right tool for the terrain. If something isn't working for you, we are here to help, but we do have a few strict rules to protect our small business.
The "Clean Tread" Rule (Standard Returns) You have 30 days from the date of delivery (or in-store purchase) to return or exchange an item. To be eligible for a return, the item must be:

Unworn and Unwashed: Shoes must show absolutely zero signs of outdoor wear. Pro Tip: Always test your new shoes indoors on carpet for a few hours before hitting the trail!

In Original Packaging: Shoes must be returned in their original, undamaged box with all tags attached.
How to Return:

In-Store (Preferred): Bring the item and your order confirmation to our Burlington shop. This is the fastest way to get an exchange or refund.

By Mail: Email us at juan@runescarpment.ca with your order number. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., we shipped the wrong size). We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
Non-Returnable Items (Final Sale) For health, safety, and hygiene reasons, the following items are Final Sale:

All Nutrition and Hydration consumables (Skratch Labs, Tailwind, gels, chews, etc.)

Hydration flasks and bladders that have been removed from their packaging.

Worn socks or undergarments.

Clearance items marked as Final Sale.
Defective Gear (Warranty Claims) The Bruce Trail is brutal on gear. Normal wear and tear (like a shredded upper from kicking a limestone rock) is a badge of honour, not a manufacturing defect. However, if you believe your gear has a legitimate manufacturer's defect (e.g., delamination, faulty stitching) within the brand's warranty period, bring it in or email us. We will advocate on your behalf with our brand reps to evaluate the claim.
